In the Portuguese healthcare system, even paid medical tests require an official referral from a doctor. If you know exactly which tests or diagnostics you need, we can help issue a referral in accordance with local requirements.

The document will be issued in Portuguese and is valid for 12 months, allowing you to complete your tests at a convenient time. The doctor will review your request and, if necessary, contact you for clarification. Some familiar tests may not be available in Portugal or may have local equivalents.

When and how will I receive my referral?

Within 1–2 business days, the prescription will be sent to the email address you provided.

Attention! A limit applies: up to 30 tests per referral.

If the number exceeds 30, the service must be paid for twice.

Where can the referral be used?

 - Private clinics and laboratories: usable at any facility that accepts such documents

 - Self-paid tests: for those undergoing testing without insurance

 - With insurance: discounts depend on your policy conditions

What is included in this service?

 - Official medical referral issued in accordance with Portuguese requirements

 - Document valid for 12 months, allowing you to complete tests at your convenience

 - Suitable for private laboratories, both for self-paid and insured tests

What is NOT included in this service?

 - Doctor’s consultation to select the necessary tests

 - Interpretation of results after testing

 - Free testing — the referral is not valid for public clinics
