Prescription renewal

If you need to renew a prescription and your health condition has not changed, this can now be done without visiting a doctor. This service is designed for those taking medications on a long-term basis. If the dosage is appropriate and no changes to treatment are needed, the prescription can be renewed quickly and without a doctor’s appointment.

Important!

1. This service is valid only for prescriptions issued in Portugal (must include the patient’s full name, issue date, and medication dosage).
2. It applies only if you wish to continue an existing treatment without changes for a long-term medication.
3. During registration on the website, please upload your previous prescription issued within the last 12 months (SMS codes are not accepted).
4. The processing time for a new prescription is 1–2 business days.
5. You will receive the prescription by email /via SMS, according to your preference.

Additional information:

- The doctor independently determines the number of packages and the validity period of the new prescription.

- If you have developed new symptoms, a medical consultation may be required before renewal.

 - Prescriptions issued outside of Portugal cannot be renewed automatically.

All prescriptions are issued by licensed doctors, and the electronic document is accepted in all pharmacies across Portugal.
