In educational institutions in Portugal, a medical certificate is often required for school or kindergarten. This document confirms a child’s health status and readiness to attend classes.

Important: The child must be present during the video call — this is necessary for an accurate evaluation of their condition.

Types of certificates available:

 - Sick leave certificate: confirms absence from classes for medical reasons

 - Recovery certificate: permission to return to school or kindergarten

 - Medical report for school enrollment

 - Certificate for sports activities: permission to participate in physical activities

 - Temporary exemption from physical education

Important: The certificate is not a sick leave document (CIT / Baixa médica) and is not reimbursed by the social security fund. Permanent exemption from physical education requires a statement from a specialist doctor.
