Referral for a vaccine

In the Portuguese public health system, a doctor’s referral is required to receive a vaccination.

Who may need it?

 - If you need a referral for a flu vaccine.

 - If children need to be vaccinated with vaccines that are not included in the National Vaccination Programme.

  - If adults need to be vaccinated with vaccines that are not included in the National Vaccination Programme.

When and how will I receive  my prescription? 

Within 1-2 business days,

the prescription will be sent to the email address you provided.

Attention! Our clinic does not issue referrals for COVID-19 vaccination.

Children aged 6–23 months and adults aged 60–84 years are eligible for free flu vaccination, and there is partial coverage for children aged 2–5 years.

Where can the referral be used?

To purchase a vaccine in pharmacies in Portugal.

What is included in this service?

 - Official medical referral issued in accordance with Portuguese requirements

 - Document valid for 1 month

You will receive the referral within the same working day.
If you registered after 17:00, the referral will be issued on the next working day.
